Armadillo

Armadillo is a system for producing automatic domain-specific annotation on large repositories in a largely unsupervised way. It annotates by extracting information from different sources and integrating the retrieved knowledge into a repository.

The repository can be used both to access the extracted information and to annotate the pages where the information was identified. Also the link with the pages can be used by a user to verify the correctness and the provenance of the information.

The armadillo project has been integrated with the Southampton Triple Store, this was used as a part of the CSAKTiveSpace Demo which was the winning entry for the semantic web challenge, (Mozilla or Firebird compatible browsers only).
